Pre/Post Care
- 01Avoid the following on the treatment area: • Retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, adapalene) • Exfoliating acids (AHA, BHA, glycolic, salicylic acid) • Scrubs or physical exfoliants • Benzoyl peroxide • Waxing, threading, or depilatory creams • Chemical peels or laser treatments • Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning beds • Do not use self-tanner • Avoid harsh masks or facial treatments Day of treatment Arrive with: • Clean skin • No makeup • No heavy creams, oils, or sunscreen on the area
- 02First 24–48 hours You may experience: • Mild redness • Slight sensitivity • Tightness Care: • Use gentle cleanser and moisturizer • Apply soothing products (aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, calming gel) Avoid: • Makeup for 12–24 hours (if possible) • Hot showers, saunas, steam • Intense exercise • Sun exposure • Touching or picking at skin Days 2–5 Skin may feel: • Dry • Slightly flaky Continue: • Gentle skincare only • Moisturizer twice daily • SPF 30–50 daily Avoid for 5–7 days: • Retinol • AHAs/BHAs • Scrubs • Benzoyl peroxide • Waxing or threading • Strong facial treatments When to Contact Your Therapist Rare, but seek advice if you experience: • Persistent redness beyond 48 hours • Swelling • Broken skin • Signs of infection
